Peppermint

(Mentha piperita)

In French-speaking regions, Ricqlés Mint Alcohol—a remedy traditionally taken on a sugar cube—was commonly used to “reset” the body and mind after overindulgence. Peppermint essential oil is often revered as a go-to solution for an overworked digestive system, helping ease strain on the liver, stomach, and intestines.

It is an active ingredient in eight of our products.

From India

Peppermint is widely cultivated in Europe and the U.S. Known for its purple-green leaves, quadrangular stems, and pink flowers, peppermint spreads rapidly via stolons—stems that root upon contact with the ground. This enables it to thrive in cool, moist environments.
