In the early 1990s, following his meeting with aromatologist Pierre Franchomme and his research in scientific aromatherapy, Dr. Dominique Baudoux took over the management of the Pranarôm laboratory and offered aromatherapy training to his pharmacist peers. His training and conferences met with rapid and growing success among health professionals, which encouraged him to write a first book on the use of essential oils.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Dominique Baudoux has been a member of several research organizations on the action of essential oils on health, including the European Center for Energy Research (CEDRE), which brings together alternative medicine professionals, as well as the N.A.R.D. (Natural Aromatherapy Research and Development) research institute. As part of his research activities, Dominique Baudoux published in 2007 the scientific study "Genotoxicity and antigenotoxicity of some essential oils evaluated by wing spot test of Drosophila melanogaster" in the journal Mutation Research published by Elsevier.

From the 2000s, Dr. Dominique Baudoux's laboratory, Pranarôm, experienced stronger growth and was crowned by export awards. Dominique Baudoux became a full-time manager and a lecturer who travelled extensively, notably to Japan and Madagascar, to develop his activities related to aromatic plants. He also regularly gives therapeutic advice in the press.

In 2010, he founded the Dominique Baudoux International College of Aromatherapy, which teaches scientific aromatherapy to health professionals and the general public in Belgium, France, Spain and Japan. He still teaches there.
